Description

An end of the year celebration of student veteran academic success. This is an opportunity to recognize student veterans service and academic achievement with speakers, challenge coins, stoles and recognition as well of campus community members who contributed to their success as students.

Student Veterans and those who support them on their higher education transition

Cost

$500

Timing 

At the end of the school year

Suggested Duration

2 hours max to include program for an hour and a reception at end for the last hour

Resources needed 

  • Access to public speakers
  • Auditorium or reception space
  • Food and Beverages for reception
  • Access to Student Veteran grades (Partner with registrars office or Veterans Student Center)

Tips for Success

  • Get sponsorship and logistical support from campus partners
  • Invite members of the local community to participate
