The library system implements a policy for all present and former military members. We do not charge for copies and faxes and all fines and fees, such as overdue, are waived.

Perpetuity
In most locales, this would likely need the approval of local governance, board, or municipality. If implemented, the library would need to determine the scope and definition of those to whom the policy applies and proper identification to receive benefits of the program.
Advertise, place signs, add a military patron code to your library member database so when a staff member is in the patron’s account, it will automatically alert them that this patron is military and is not to be charged.
Success is being measured by the number of new accounts and the increase in checkouts and library users with the military code.
